The Museum of

The Museum of Vintage Cars

Supervised by Maddie Symons

The project theme is the Museum of vintage cars. I tend to be retro and nostalgic in design, using simple fonts as its logo and applying it to design and the neutral color system is selected for the background, and images are processed in black and white. Street posters and banner advertisement help people identify museums online and offline, respectively, while ticket helps people know more specific information about museums.

IDENTITY SYSTEM

VicHealth

Supervised by Alex Margetic

In this project, I designed an identity system for VicHealth. Firstly, I designed a logo for this organization, the body part is a heart by hand under it, which means that this organization focuses on protecting and improving people's health. And apply the logo design to three identity applications that are a general information brochure, a set of posters and a basic stationery set.

Analogue Series Design

ON FOOD AND COOKING

Supervised by Kate Mansell

The title of this series of books I chose is ON FOOD AND COOKING. It uses twelve food ingredients as the theme, and I want to express this characteristic. After thinking about it, I came up with the idea that a part of the paper was torn apart and an ingredient appeared.

In the production process, I tried to cut paper and print, and use colored pencils and procreate to draw some materials. If this book is to be printed, I think I will use hard cardboard on the cover, and the content pages will also use harder paper because such paper can clearly present the pictures in the book.

Melbourne City Guide

Asian Food Guide

Supervised by Kate Mansell

The city guide is about Asian food. The target group is Asian tourists who travel to Melbourne. In terms of visual design, I want to make the color of this guide comfortable, or to make people have an appetite for food. Tourists can find the restaurant they are interested in first, and then learn about its evaluation, average cost and introduction. The layout of these content makes it easy for people to read. On the back, I first arrange the six restaurants in order, with illustrations, names, and addresses.

A Print-ready Publication

Sports News

Supervised by Kate Mansell

This project is design a publication which requires that only two colors can be used. Therefore, I focus on content and form, experimenting with different page formats and structures. I also think about the binding method and the paper for printing. The binding method I want to choose is perfect bound, because this method is very beautiful and it has strong durability. I want to choose a medium weight paper and use the coated printing effect, its color performance is better, the printing effect is clearer.

Sounding Type

Love No More

Supervised by Maddie Symons

For this project, I chose the song is Love no more. Its intro accompaniment is very nice, and then you will hear different voices repeating the theme. So I made the title of this song in a 3D loop layout design. And Create a sense of haziness that matches the music. The letters of the title also have some distortions to reflect the increase in tone at the end of each paragraph. This result echoes the feelings of the song to the audience and the tone of the song.

Reform

iDonation

Supervised by Jon-Erik Andreassen

The product service orientation of iDonation is the Internet charity donation platform. In the app, users can browse all donation projects, the project introduction and the progress of donation collection. Users need to choose a method to donate idle items. They can track the progress of the donated items and the overall progress of the project. I also design a web UI and rollup banner to help promote the service.

Redesign-DESIGN IS HISTORY

Supervised by Jon-Erik Andreassen

In the new page design, I placed the navigation bar above the page and redesigned the elements in the navigation bar. I use the dropdown menu it extends the vertical menu items, and when the mouse hovers, it can also display deeper options. I used the card pattern to display the main information in the page which is convenient for users to browse the information clearly, and at the same time, make the clickable areas clear.

Redesign-Rock Music Timeline

Supervised by Jon-Erik Andreassen

In the new design, I redesigned the navigation bar according to the content and function of the original website. The new design reduces the text on the webpage by three quarters so that users can browse the content efficiently. I incorporated the slideshow pattern, which is suitable for displaying a series of still images.
